How to reach the Coordination Unit

The Coordination Unit of the GBIF National Node in Spain is located in the research building of the Royal Botanic Garden of Madrid (Real Jardín Botánico de Madrid). The entrance is situated in Claudio Moyano street, just opposite the Fallen Angel entrance of Retiro's Garden (see map). Be careful: DO NOT use the Botanic Garden exposition main gate, located in Murillo's Square, in front of Prado's Museum main gate.

Underground

Línea 1: Plaza de Castilla - Congosto. The closest stops are "Atocha" and "Atocha Renfe". You can download a map of the complete underground net here (PDF format- 1,42 Mb).

EMT - Buses

The Bus lines with stops near the Royal Botanic Garden are 6, 10, 14, 19, 24, 26, 27, 32, 34, 36, 37, 41, 45, 57, 59, 85, 86, 102, 119, 247 and circular. The line with the closest stop to the research building is 19, Alfonso XII - Claudio Moyano stop.

Renfe - Suburban trains (Cercanías)

The following Suburban train lines have stops in Atocha's train station: C1, C2, C3, C5, C7 and C10. To access the complete map of Renfe's suburban net, click here.

Renfe - AVE (high speed train)

The high speed train (AVE) station is 500 meters far from the Coordination Unit of The Spanish GBIF Node. The simplest way to reach the Spanish GBIF Node from Atocha train station is by foot (you can click here to see the way in Google Maps).

Barajas Airport

From Terminal T1, T2 or T3

Take the bus 203 at the Airport T2 until Atocha Train Station (32 minutes, 4 stops)
Walk from Atocha Train Station to Spanish GBIF Node (see map here)

From Terminal T4

Take the bus 203 at the T4 Airport until Atocha Train Station (45 minutes, 5 stops)
