RSS in GBIF.ESRSS System in GBIF.ES

RSS (Rich Site Summary or Really Simple Syndication) is one of the recent systems created to distribute information through the Internet: you can now receive the latest news and events in the very moment they are issued. Many web portals are already distributing their news with this system like on-line newspapers, blogs, wikis,... If you want to know more about RSS, please visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RSS_%28file_format%29.

GBIF.ES has installed its own RSS service to promptly report the GBIF community on its latest activities, news and events.

To access these contents you must have an special program installed, called aggregator. When you have installed an aggregator in your machine, usually a new icon appears in your taskbar: when new pieces of news are available, you will be automatically notified. You'll find plenty of programs to install in your computer like RSS reader or Feed Reader, but you can also access through web-based systems like bloglines.

To add GBIF Spain news to your aggregator, just include one of the following addresses:

http://www.gbif.es/rss_in.php

http://www.gbif.es/gbif-es_en.rss

If you have any doubts about the RSS system in GBIF.ES, please contact webmaster address.
