has been dedicated to the conservation of birds and
their habitats for almost 50 years. SEO is
also compiling information on birds in Spain which will
include common names, scientific and English names,
and photos. Bird observations are continually collected
(first and last sightings of migrating birds, rare visitors,

The Iberian and Macaronesian Herbarium Association (Asociación de Herbarios Ibero-Macaronésicos - AHIM)
brings together universities and research centers with
the most important collections on the Iberian Peninsula
and Balearic and Macaronesian Islands, as well as smaller
institutions, professionals and individuals interested
in its activities. Some of the activities of the AHIM
include: organization of botanical expeditions and workshops,
periodic publication of a bulletin (Bulletin of the
AHIM) and arrangement of meetings at least
once a year (AHIM General Assembly).

Directory of Marine Environmental Datasets - EDMED
has established itself as a de-facto European standard
for indexing and searching datasets relating to the
marine environment. It covers a wide range of disciplines
and is a high-level inventory, including information
on both datasets and data holding centres. At present,
EDMED
already comprises metadata on 2814 datasets from 574
data holding centres across Europe. Information is made
