Descripción
Collection of harmful marine microalgae that began as a result of studies about toxic marine phytoplankton and it relation to toxicity in mollusks. The oldest stump dates from 1985, though the Institute houses a portuguese stump from the end of the forties. The majority of the stumps were mainly isolated in Galician seas and other spanish marine areas, though the Institute has stumps of all oceans. This collection begins to the area of studies: «Marine environment».
