Learning materials of the GBIF.ES Workshop on “Biodiversity Data Publication” available

The second edition of the GBIF.ES Workshop “Publication of biodiversity data in GBIF and scientific journals” was held in June 12-14, 2018 in the Royal Botanic Garden-CSIC.

The workshop was focused on the following topics in order to make users familiar with the process of data publishing through GBIF: standardizing data using the Darwin Core standard, tools useful for biodiversity data publishing and data cleaning, best practises to publish data papers. The instructors of the workshop were Katia Cezón (GBIF.ES), Paula Zermoglio (UBA / VertNet), David Galicia (Universidad de Navarra), Nora Escribano (Universidad de Navarra) and Miguel Vega (GBIF.ES).

20 participants attended the course from a wide range of organizations such as universities, NGOs, citizen science groups or public administrations. All the documentation used during the workshop can be downloaded here. Videos from the workshop are available on the GBIF.ES YouTube channel.
