GBIF.ES webinar: Sharing biodiversity data through GBIF. An invitation to the business sector

The GBIF Spain Coordination Unit hosts the Webinar: Sharing biodiversity data through GBIF. An invitation to the business sector. This event will be held on November 12th at 11:30 AM (Madrid time), and it will address the following topics:

  • the role of GBIF Spain on accessing biodiversity information at the national level;
  • the OpenPSD project whose main goal is to encourage and promote the publication and use of biodiversity data by the private sector;
  • the benefits derived from the biodiversity data mobilisation through GBIF;
  • the steps to follow during the process.

This webinar is supported by the Business and Biodiversity Spanish Initiative (Biodiversity Foundation) and LafargeHolcim Spain, first company mobilising data through GBIF.ES.

The main goal of this event is to encourage Spanish companies to share biodiversity data through GBIF and include this practice among their Corporate Social Responsibility actions.

The webinar is open to any person and institution although it is mainly addressed to companies that manage biodiversity data as part of their work activities (e.g., restoration actions, environmental impact assessments, environmental consultancies, environmental voluntary programs, etc.).

Registration to the webinar is mandatory and can be done by filling this form (in Spanish). After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
